Desi Kurian is a brand new reality show that is presented on ARY digital every Thursday 10:00 pm. It’s in fact based on Punjabi culture where the girl participants from different major cities of Pakistan are sent to a far of village where they’re to spend their days with ordinary villagers. They’ve to fetch water, cook family meals in tandoor, and serve and entertain the family in every possible way. They have to live in a place where there is no electricity, gas, cell phones, television, in fact nothing from the luxurious life style they are used to living in.

I really appreciate the theme of the show since it promotes Pakistani village culture and traditional life style and it will let Pakistanis people know how difficult but simple, innocent and pure it is to live in a village without enjoying all the luxuries they do in the cities. Like all reality shows, this show has an elimination round where one has to leave the game on basis of bad behavior for not following the games’ rules and making her villager family unhappy of the her performance in the tasks assigned. The show will have wild card entries as well. We can hope to see some celebrities as well in the show. I think it will be a great fun in deed. So, don’t miss the show anyway …
